Privacy notice

How Cleanroom Radar processes personal data transparently and for defined purposes.

Last updated: 4 September 2026

1. Controller

The controller is the Cleanroom Radar operator identified in the legal notice. The postal address, telephone number and email address stated there also apply to privacy enquiries.

2. Hosting and server logs

When you access the site, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data, including IP address, time, requested resource, referrer, browser and device information. The purpose is secure and stable delivery and abuse prevention under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Logs are retained only as long as required for operations, troubleshooting and security, unless a statutory duty or specific security incident requires longer retention.

3. Essential storage

Only essential cookies or local storage are used for sign-in, language, session security and locally stored watchlists. The legal bases are section 25(2) TDDDG and, where personal data is involved, Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. No analytics or advertising cookies are currently used.

4. Account, trial and subscription

Supabase provides email authentication, account records, licence status and session protection. Data includes email address, user ID, sign-in times, session ID and licence status. The project database is hosted in the EU region Ireland. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and security logging on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Stripe processes checkout, subscriptions, invoices and payment details. Cleanroom Radar receives only the customer, subscription and status data required to provide the contract and does not store complete card or PayPal credentials. Statutory billing records are retained under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

5. Contact

The contact form prepares an email on your device and does not submit the entries to our web server. Your email provider processes the message when you send it. We respond under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual enquiries and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

6. Digital research assistant

The clearly labelled AI-assisted research tool first searches Cleanroom Radar content locally. Free text remains in your browser. When you explicitly start a live search, the query is sent to our search endpoint and then server-side to news search services. Do not enter confidential, personal or protected information.

Answers may be incomplete or inaccurate. Source links enable independent verification; the assistant is not professional or regulatory advice.

7. Live search, news images and external content

The live search retrieves public results from news indexes. Where available, news images come from the original source; otherwise Cleanroom Radar uses locally hosted industry artwork. Loading an external preview image or opening an original source may transmit technical connection data to that provider and its privacy terms apply. Loading the embedded European Commission document in the Annex 1 Centre may transmit your IP address to its servers.

8. Recipients and transfers

Processors receive data only where needed for hosting, security, communication, payment or contract delivery. Transfers outside the EEA rely on an adequacy decision or safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

9. Your rights

  • Access (Article 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification (Article 16)
  • Erasure (Article 17)
  • Restriction (Article 18)
  • Data portability (Article 20)
  • Objection (Article 21)
  • Withdrawal of consent for the future
  • Complaint to a data protection authority

10. Security and updates

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures and update this notice when functionality, providers or law changes.
